LearnBySong Privacy Policy

LearnBySong ("the app", "we") helps you learn languages through song lyrics. This policy explains what data the app handles and where it goes.
Data we collect
Account information (optional)
You can use LearnBySong without an account. If you create one, we collect your email address, an encrypted password, and the optional profile details you provide (display name, native language). Accounts are managed by Supabase, our backend provider.
Learning activity
Your saved vocabulary, study progress, streaks, points, and song library are stored on your device. If you sign in, this data is also synced to your account so it is available across devices.
Data processed by third-party services
To provide its features, the app sends limited data to these services:

We do not send your personal information (email, name) to Anthropic, LRCLIB, Apple, or YouTube — only the song-related text needed for each feature.
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not show ads or use advertising trackers.
- We do not access your microphone, camera, contacts, or location.
- We do not knowingly collect data from children; the app is not directed at children under 13.
Data retention & deletion
Learning data stored on your device is deleted when you uninstall the app. You can permanently delete your account and all synced data at any time from Profile → Delete Account inside the app, or by contacting us at the email below.
Your rights
Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise them.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the date above.
